Denfeld Out of School Time Coordinator
The Denfeld Out-of-School Time Coordinator is a year-round, full-time (40 hour/week) position responsible for the implementation of high-quality afterschool and summer programs, services, and community youth leadership development as part of the Denfeld Full-Service Community School model.
The programming currently serves around 200 Denfeld students per year through drop-in safe space, basic needs services, tutoring, structured and unstructured recreation, summer field trips, and programming provided by partners such as LifeHouse, YES Duluth, Planned Parenthood, PAVSA, Men as Peacemakers, Duluth NAACP, UMD Center for Minority and American Indian Health, and more.
This is a full-time, exempt (salaried), grant funded position.
Typically 40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year.
Compensation: $45,760. This position qualifies for health & dental insurance, generous parental leave,
and wellness & vacation days.
Work hours are generally between 10am and 6pm M-F, summer hours may vary.
Some schedule flexibility is possible but being present leading up to and during all program hours (M-Th 3-6pm school year, M-F 12-4pm summer) is required.

Community Engagement Coordinator VISTA full-time, one-year AmeriCorps position
Complete a year of service as an AmeriCorps VISTA! As an AmeriCorps VISTA, you will earn a bi-weekly living allowance and have the option to receive a $6,495 education award at the completion of your service term. The Community Engagement Coordinator VISTA will support Duluth Community School Collaborative in 3 major areas:
Events: Collaborate with our staff to plan and implement in-person family and community engagement events at our three school sites (Myers-Wilkins Elementary, Lincoln Park Middle School, and Denfeld High School) and at community sites.
Communication: Support communication efforts to reach families, students, community members, and community partners, including through an organizational newsletter, social media, website, blog posts, and individual outreach.
Volunteers: Assess volunteer needs and opportunities to expand and improve programming through volunteers at each school site. Recruit and retain volunteers through our communication channels and partner organizations.
As part of the Ecolibrium3 VISTA cohort, you will have additional support, professional development, training and connections with other VISTAs in the area.
