Summer Youth Program Lead full-time, temporary position from 7/5-8/22

The Summer Youth Program Lead will be part of a team providing a high-quality summer program focused on increasing students’ sense of belonging and engagement with their school—Myers-Wilkins Elementary. The Summer Youth Program Lead will be responsible for the daily leadership of activities in the program. This full-time (32-40 hours/week at $17/hour) position will run from July 5th- August 22nd, 2022. Work hours for the position are generally Monday-Friday 8am-3pm. The Summer program will consist of up to 60 youth entering grades 1-5, participating in a rotation of activities including special instruction in gardening, nutrition, visual and performing arts. Community Engagement Coordinator VISTA full-time, one-year AmeriCorps position

Complete a year of service as an AmeriCorps VISTA! As an AmeriCorps VISTA, you will earn a small bi-weekly living allowance (currently $575.40 every 14 days) and have the option to receive a $6,495 education award at the completion of your service term. The Community Engagement Coordinator VISTA will support Duluth Community School Collaborative in 3 major areas:

  • Events: Collaborate with our staff to plan and implement in-person family and community engagement events at our three school sites (Myers-Wilkins Elementary, Lincoln Park Middle School, and Denfeld High School) and at community sites.

  • Communication: Support communication efforts to reach families, students, community members, and community partners, including through an organizational newsletter, social media, website, blog posts, and individual outreach.

  • Volunteers: Assess volunteer needs and opportunities to expand and improve programming through volunteers at each school site. Recruit and retain volunteers through our communication channels and partner organizations.

As part of the Ecolibrium3 VISTA cohort, you will have additional support, professional development, training and connections with other VISTAs in the area.​ Apply by July 11th to be our Community Engagement Coordinator VISTA.
